{"id":52,"date":"2008-08-02T05:20:29","date_gmt":"2008-08-02T05:20:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/koorse.com\/?p=52"},"modified":"2017-03-15T10:05:36","modified_gmt":"2017-03-15T10:05:36","slug":"two-incredible-achievements-in-entertainment","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/koorse.com\/?p=52","title":{"rendered":"Two Incredible Achievements in Entertainment"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This past week, I had a chance to see both <strong>The Dark Knight<\/strong> and complete <strong>Metal Gear Solid 4<\/strong>.\u00a0 I doubt that I will ever see two mediums of entertainment achieve such greatness ever again.<\/p>\n<p>The Dark Knight was spectacular.\u00a0 Rarely have I ever felt like a movie about superheroes could transcend the lines between good and evil.\u00a0 Christopher Nolan took Batman to new heights and Heath Ledger set the bar for villainy.\u00a0 The body count in this film is tremendous and some of the deaths are mind-blowing.\u00a0 However, the film goes far beyond its shock value and weaves a message of epic proportions.\u00a0\u00a0 Its a long movie but every minute counts.\u00a0 I&#8217;ve rarely been this engaged with a film.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>I also completed Hideo Kojima&#8217;s Metal Gear Solid 4 for the PS3.\u00a0 It&#8217;s a masterpiece!\u00a0 Despite a convoluted, heavy handed story, it\u00a0redefines the standards\u00a0for virtual entertainment.\u00a0 The graphics are gorgeous and the gameplay is deep and challenging.\u00a0 The execution was perfect.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>If I was looking for an escape from my work and my life, I found it this week in my entertainment.\u00a0\u00a0 I almost feel like I need to grab a good book to top this off&#8230; I&#8217;m on  <a style=\"text-decoration:none;color: inherit !important;\" TITLE=\"\" HREF=\"\" >a winning<\/a>  streak! <a style=\"text-decoration:none;\" TITLE=\"\" href=\"\" ><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This past week, I had a chance to see both The Dark Knight and complete Metal Gear Solid 4.\u00a0 I doubt that I will ever see two mediums of entertainment achieve such greatness ever again.
